When to consider Vitamin E

Hay loses vitamin E quickly after cutting. Most stabled horses are running short, here's how to tell.

Vitamin E is one of the most consistently under-supplied nutrients in equine diets. Fresh pasture is rich in it, but as soon as hay is cured and stored, levels drop fast. Look for natural-source d-alpha tocopherol, not synthetic.
